Getting started on SavCatChat

The short version: make an account, set up your profile, then go find your people in the boards.

Create your account

You need to be 18 or older to register. Sign up with an email and password, or with a social provider once it is enabled for your account. You will pick a username, this is what shows up on every thread and reply, so choose one you are comfortable using in public.

Add a photo, a short bio, and your general location if you are comfortable sharing it, state-level is plenty. If you have a Savannah at home, add their name, generation, and a photo too. Members love a profile with a cat on it, and it gives people an easy way to start a conversation.

Find your way around the boards

The forum is organized into boards grouped by category: Savannah Chit-Chat for general conversation, Care & Training for the practical stuff, and more specialized boards further in. Start in General Discussion or Introductions & Welcome, say hello, and branch out from there. Every board supports New, Hot, and Top sorting so you can catch up however you like.

Join the community, at your pace

Free membership gets you full access to the public boards, voting, and posting. A Supporter subscription unlocks a few extra perks, but you do not need it to be a full member of the community. Read more in Membership & billing once you are ready.
